Land Development
Exeter Environmental Consulting Services (EECS) provides a comprehensive service for all aspects of redevelopment of green-field and brown-field sites for both large and small developers. From April 2008, Planning Policy Statement 23 (PPS23) requires all developers to complete a contamination assessment where residential buildings are to be erected, and for land which is known or suspected to be contaminated. For many sites this entails a basic Phase I study, but if further work is required then EECS has the expertise to complete Phase II and III assessments.
Our approach complies with both PPS23 and Environment Agency (EA) guidelines. These are based on the Contaminated Land Exposure Assessment (CLEA) model, a government supported methodology for assessing risks to humans from exposure to soil contaminants. EECS can liaise with the both the Local Authority and the EA on your behalf to ensure a prompt and cost-effective solution.
